They also operate a small exclusive camp on the legendary Busanga Plains in the north of the reserve. This is a stunning area with superb game viewing and an absolute must if you go to Kafue!

If you go to Kafue do not miss the add on for the Mukambi Busanga Plains Camp! One of its characteristics are the huge termite mounds. Cheetah (and Lion) love these as they provide a perfect viewing platform for huge distances. It all makes deciding on a “lunch” venue that much easier!
Lions and cheetahs prey on animals such as wildebeest, roan and buffalo to name a few. Lechwe and puku graze on the central swamps while the shy sitatunga hides in the papyrus reeds. Crowned and wattled cranes, secretary birds and ground hornbills stalk the grasslands whose openness is interrupted only by tree studded islands.
